Singapore, May 31, 2024 — Alvin, Overseas Sales Director at Yifan Communication, visited Singtel’s offices in Singapore for a strategic business meeting aimed at deepening the two companies’ partnership across industrial IoT and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions.
Singtel and Yifan Communication have collaborated on multiple industrial router deployment projects across Singapore and the region. Singtel has deployed Yifan Communication’s NR100 V2 5G Industrial Router and YF325 Industrial LTE Router across various enterprise customer projects, building a strong track record of reliable industrial connectivity. The proven performance of these deployments laid the groundwork for this latest visit.
Expanding into Fixed Wireless Access
During the meeting, both parties discussed expanding their cooperation into the Fixed Wireless Access segment. Alvin presented Yifan Communication’s NR610 Smart 5G Outdoor ODU as a strong candidate for Singtel’s FWA deployments. Key operator-ready capabilities that generated significant interest include:
- TR-069 / CWMP remote management — operator-standard remote provisioning, configuration, and firmware management at scale
- IP67 weatherproof outdoor enclosure — fully sealed for Singapore’s tropical climate and year-round outdoor deployment
- 5G Sub-6GHz high-speed connectivity — up to 3.4 Gbps downlink, meeting FWA broadband replacement demands
- Dual SIM failover — carrier-grade network redundancy for uninterrupted service
- PoE single-cable installation — simplified large-scale rooftop and building-side deployments
