The NR230 is now available globally through Yifan Communication’s network of distributors and system integration partners.
The NR230 bridges the gap between cost-sensitive 4G deployments and full 5G infrastructure. Leveraging 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability) technology, the router delivers significantly higher throughput than LTE while maintaining a lean cost profile well-suited for mass IoT rollouts. The device ships with an IP66-rated die-cast aluminium enclosure that withstands rain, dust, and condensation, and operates reliably across an extended temperature range of −35℃ to +75℃ without active cooling.
Connectivity highlights include Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) on both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands, dual SIM slots with eSIM compatibility for automatic carrier failover, and a pair of industrial serial interfaces — RS232 and RS485 — each rated to 15 kV ESD protection and terminated via an aviation-grade connector. Power can be supplied either through a wide-range DC input (9–36 V) or via PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), reducing cabling complexity for pole-mount and junction-box installations.
